Peer Support Services
At Ease USA utilizes a peer support model to help veterans help one another.
Our Peer Support Specialist has lived experience in both military service and successful PTSD management. Having walked in your shoes, he is well-equipped to establish trust among veterans and military members who may not see their own unique experiences reflected among the clinical professionals they rely upon for care.
The Peer Support Specialist serves as a liaison to help AEU’s treatment team deliver individualized care. In some cases, they will accompany or even personally transport patients to appointments that might otherwise be sources of anxiety.
The Peer Support Specialist brings clients together to help them see PTSD treatment not as a source of stigma, but as a dynamic process of community-building.
